World Premiere of Edith Lake Wilkinson Documentary

Viewed the film at PSIFF yesterday! Beautiful…Edith, Jane and Tess your work is an inspiration. Thank you for this amazing film. Looking forward to the DVD of film and CD of the music. When will the book be out?

Just saw the film as well. Terrific in so many ways. Admire your persistance and admiration. You no doubt know that the film was re-shown today as one of the best films of the festival.

I am moved by this story. Not only by what happened, but what could have happened. The great potential she had as an artist but also a woman. Thank you for sharing her story, her life, her secrets with us all. It's because of you, Jane, that Edith is now in the light with everyone that can appreciate her work and efforts. I will be sharing this work with my grand-daughter, in the hopes that she too will carry the torch of light and color in Edith's name. This story will continue, as art teachers around the world will share the history and works of Edith Lake Wilkinson. So, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I saw the doc last night on HBO. It moved me to my core. Your passion, drive and fortitude to give not only Edith the credit she has earned, but also as a reminder to the many others in our past who may not have had a voice and have been forgotten. Just viewed the Edith Lake Wilkinson documentary on HBO. Such a loving tribute to an exceptional woman and artist. It is clearly a labor of love. Thank you for sharing Edith, her life, her work, her legacy.

I was in my studio and decided to take a break. I went downstairs made some tea and decided to look up documentaries on HBO. I clicked on the review and decided to give this documentary a view. I was moved by the story in the initial beginning and as I began to hear Edith's story of her "homecoming" I found I was not only moved with passion, I was inspired. Thank you for sharing her wonderful art and her moving story. I now have Provincetown on my Bucket List.

By chance, I saw the documentary on HBO last night and was completely captivated by Edith's, ultimately, sad story and her lovely, lovely art. The works shown in your excellent and fascinating documentary were mesmerizing. Thank you so much for introducing me to such a brilliant artist.

I saw the documentary on HBO yesterday. I was moved by Edith's beautiful work, and the story of her life, as well as your journey in bringing it all into the light. As an artist who sometimes questions the value of art in the world, I occasionally need a reminder of the joy it can bring. Edith's work, and your film provided that in abundance! It is so easy to see the sadness and struggle of those whose lives become difficult in later years, or who have passed away. It is a wonderful gift when someone leaves behind such clear evidence of exuberance and passion for life as Edith did (with great skill). Perhaps that is enough for art to accomplish. It seems to me that her work deserves a place among the best of her generation. I hope to see it up close one day. Thank you for adding your voices and hers to our world!

My mom lost her man partner 4 months ago and was left with hundreds of collages he had made and signed. She had prints made and note cards and Raymond Cardin Productions has first public viewing and sale this Friday! I stumbled on this movie this weekend past and am making her watch it. We also vacationed at PTown every summer in late 60's early 70's. What a beautiful expression to do something like that!

Just saw the documentary by chance on HBO. I was memorized from the moment I tuned in seeing Jane talk about her lost and talented aunt, who really wasn't lost but by her side all this time. I could feel "Edith" finally getting to speak and let all the truths be told about her life. Jane did a beautiful thing in giving this woman her voice and audience to admire her paintings.

We just happened to catch the HBO documentary tonight. A gem! How lucky Edith was to have Jane advocate for her so many years after her life and artistic endevors were taken from her, and how lucky Jane was to realize and pay tribute to her aunt's inspiration! We should all have family to turn to and inspire us. I'm recommending this film to the artists I know, within the family and without.

Thank you for sharing Edith with us! She will forever be loved, as she should be for generations to come.

Just watched the HBO documentary on demand tonight! What a great job Jane & Tess - Edith would be pleased I'm sure. Have my sister to thank for calling & telling me it was something she knew I would love. Spreading the word to many friends about her and her wonderful art. Thanks for giving her life again and taking her home to Provincetown.

I also happened to see promo for the documentary on HBO and decided to record it. I just watched it and was enthralled from beginning to end. Thank you for bringing Edith to whomever is lucky enough to see her work or your film. Bravo!
