Please take a look at this piece about Edith that ran on Diana Nyad's blog, introduced by Diana herself.

"It is our honor today to feature Jane Anderson and her story of injustice....the story of her great aunt, whose life was pillaged, yet whose art still lives. You will be spellbound...by the shocking events that befell Edith, and by the extraordinary expression that emanates from her paintings..."  -- Diana Nyad

What a treasure, what a find!!!! Such talent!! My heart breaks not only for Ms Wilkinson, but for what might have been.

What a loving, lovely tribute to Edith Wilkinson. What an amazing find and so beautifully exhibited. I kept trying to find in what media she painted. Water color, I could tell, but the rest...were they oils or some kind of pastels...too early for acrylics. The video tribute gave one understanding of her background and of those things she cherished. As I have painted myself for quite some time with small monetary reward, I now have hope.
